Mareva Koulamalla, has proved herself exceptionally well in the professional field. Leading the Marketing and Communication strategy for Middle East and Africa (MEA) for Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, She is responsible for the generation of new leads, helping develop existing business relations, supporting the growth of their channel of distribution, participating to the increase of their regional revenue and strengthening their brand positioning in media.
In the interview Mareva said, Our World would be different if more women were also making decisions in the stem space. She said “no matter where you are from, your social status, your age, and your knowledge; if the genuine interest is there and the determination to learn quickly too, then you have all your chances. I wished at a young age, I had more interaction with sciences and technology.”
Similarly, Acronis, is working on a Cyber Diversity program, a unique initiative where three organisations from different segments (technology, science, and legal counsel) join forces.
When she was asked if she had a role model, she replied that her parents were her role models. “They have always been models of determination, humility, and stability for me. We did not have much but they worked so hard to always ensure I had all I needed,” she added.
Upon being asked how her 2021 is coming along, she replied that it was a fast-growing year for activities at ACRONIS. Acronis participated in multiple industry events where they reconnected with their existing partners, customers, and with potential new channel partners. One of their biggest highlights definitely was our Acronis CyberFit Summit that took place in Dubai in December and welcomed hundreds of guests, who understand the critical need for the right cyber protection strategy.
After seeing 2021’s results, we can only be excited about what 2022 holds, such as further growth, new partnerships, increased focus on key countries within the region, and continued investment in the right activities. 2022 will be a year of sports highlights in the region with Formula One, and Formula E races, and the Football World Cup in Qatar as well that year.
