Mr. Jos Vandenbroucke (the General Manager) is from Belgium, and has more than 15yrs of experience on Paramotoring in Belgium before coming to Dubai. He started his career in Dubai as an Operations Manager at Skyhub Paramotors it was previously a hub under Skydive Dubai. In 2019, he started his own company which is now Paramotor Desert Adventure Aviation Club.
In an Interview with us, Mr. Jos was asked Why did this business interest him originally & where did he get the motivation to start PARAFLY. We were amazed by his reply, “I was asked by Skydive DUBAI to manage Paramotors School. I was convinced that my knowledge and expertise I have from Belgium, I could bring to the UAE and let people explore the same feelings and the same adventure.”
Upon being asked that how difficult it was to train people to do this activity fearlessly, Mr. Jos’s prompt reaction was that he was the only one before, at PARAFLY as a trainer, a mechanic, the General Manager but they increased the capacity by involving the right people. He said he doesn’t like to call them employees or staff, rather he likes to call them friends. He says, because of them they can give this amazing experience to the people coming for the activity. People who are still scared after coming here are given a basic flight / training flight to first have an experience of flying and how much fun it is, and then later carry on with the detailed training course.
“What do you think will EXPO 2020 bring for you and how do you plan to attract tourists?”
“I’m convinced that EXPO2020 will boost our business because people are planning their trip to Dubai very well this time. They have in mind Skydive Dubai, Hot Air Ballooning, the Watersports and one of the most interesting activities for tourists is Paramotors. So automatically, we will have more people coming in which will obviously boost our business.”
When we asked him about the best and most amazing thing about entering the Adventure world that he could tell us. The most amazing and interesting thing about Paramotors and the adventure world according to him was being involved in a multicultural community and that he can interact with different nationalities.
Mr. Jos ended his interview with this keynote to success:
“We should trust our employees, trust their knowledge and trust their skills and give them responsibility. We should have a very good, friendly relationship with them which is not Boss-Employee and make them feel at ‘home’.
